In Junior Infants, we loved dressing up for World Book Day. We dressed up as our favourite characters from our favourite story books. We drew pictures of our favourite books and went to the Book Fair in the library in our school. We bought some new books from the Book Fair and we had a chance to look at some of the new books. We listened to fairytale stories read by one of our favourite authors Julia Donaldson. This was read, live on our screen in the classroom. On World Book Day, some of the 5th class children came down to our class and some of the us went up to the 5th class room and they read stories to us. We really enjoyed this.
