This month we have been busy learning about how important our skeletons are and what jobs they do for our bodies. We used pasta in all shapes and sizes to design some skeletons in Art. We have also painted some very spooky pictures as we prepare for Halloween!

Halloween Fun

Here are some of the pictures of the games we played in 1st class and 2nd class for Halloween.

We had great fun in the hall showing off our costumes and we had a scary Halloween disco.

We had fun playing bite the bobbing apple and bite the apple on the string.

Halloween

Here are some pictures of our Halloween party in school today. We had so much fun taking part in all the activities and eating all our delicious treats. A huge thank you to all the parents who I’m sure were up very early this morning getting the children dressed and ready for the party. Everyone looked fantastic so thank you! Also a big thank you to Ms. Lynn who decorated the hall and organised a lovely Halloween assembly for the junior classes. We wish everyone a happy Halloween and we hope to see everyone back in school on Monday November 2nd. Enjoy 😉

Hallowe’en Safety Tips by 3rd Class

Here is a list of safety tips compiled by 3rd class, so that everyone can have a happy and safe Hallowe’en

  • Children should never play with fireworks. Always get an adult to light a firework and remember to stand well back.
  • Stay away from bonfires. They are very dangerous.
  • When carving pumpkins, always get an adult to help.
  • Never leave candles burning inside pumpkins overnight.
  • Keep your pets indoors

When Trick-or-Treating

  • Avoid trick-or-treating alone. Walk in groups or with a trusted adult.
  • Use the Safe Cross Code when crossing the street.
  • Bring a flashlight so that drivers can see you.
  • Don’t eat all your treats in one night.
